Observation #1, 5/6/08

My observations were taken on Flat Creek, running through Melody Ranch in my back yard. The river moves at a medium pace. The temperature in the air when i took my observation was 64 degrees outside. There's weeds and willow trees surrounding the bank of the river. There is little green vegitation. Feild mice burrow in the ground throughout the feild. Many different organisms live my the river, such as: Birds, Bugs Coyotes, and snakes. We have water snakes that mostly stay in the shallow parts of the river. The bugs eat and make their homes out of the little vegitation and weeds by the bank. The majority of organisms liveing in this area are birds. I spotted a Turkey Vulture, which was very rare. Geese come and go usully round 5 o clock.
